Sarah E. Jung, PhD | Clinic Director
Dr. Sarah E. Jung is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. She received her Doctorate in Philosophy in Clinical Psychology and Behavioral Medicine (APA-accredited) at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. She completed her APA-accredited Internship and postdoctoral experience (Advanced Fellow for Women’s Health) at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) and the San Diego Veterans Healthcare System. Her prior training experiences include the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), the San Francisco Veterans Healthcare System and the Baltimore Veterans Healthcare System.
Dr. Jung specializes in psychoeducational assessments and evaluations for ADHD, Autism and psychological disorders. She is licensed in California, Florida, Maryland, New York, Virginia and Washington D.C.
She has co-authored papers in peer-reviewed journals and textbooks on the intersection between executive functioning, eating dysregulation and binge eating disorder.

Cindy Chang, PsyD | Clinical Supervisor
Dr. Cindy Chang (she/they) is a licensed clinical psychologist, researcher, and consultant. She offers online therapy services throughout the state of California. Her approach is collaborative, goal-oriented, and highly individualized. She is passionate about helping individuals meet their goals and thrive in their environments using research-backed techniques.
Dr. Chang completed their doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Rutgers University, APA-accredited internship at the VA Puget Sound, Seattle, and APA-accredited postdoctoral fellowship at the VA San Diego Healthcare System. Dr. Chang’s research has been published in peer-reviewed journals, and she has won 12 awards or grants recognizing her work, including the Bisexual Foundation Scholarship Award (American Psychological Association), Mental Health Advocates Tomorrow Award (Hinge), and Researching Injustice and Social Equity Award (Association of Psychological Science). In addition, Cindy has taught at an undergraduate-level and led numerous presentations and trainings on mental health and diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Salma Salem, PsyD | Clinical Supervisor
Dr. Salma Salem is a licensed clinical psychologist with over a decade of experience. Dr. Salem began her career in New York City at Bellevue Hospital and NYU Langone Medical Center. She earned her master’s degree from Harvard University and her doctorate in psychology from Loma Linda University, completed her APA-accredited internship at the Atlanta VA, and her postdoctoral fellowship at the San Francisco VA.
Her approach to therapy is grounded, open, and flexible. Dr. Salem draws from evidence-based practices including EMDR, DBT, ACT, CBT, Prolonged Exposure (PE), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and mindfulness, thoughtfully tailoring treatment to meet each client where they are. She believes therapy can hold both depth and lightness, allowing moments of levity to exist alongside meaningful, challenging work.
For Dr. Salem, therapy is about cultivating insight, practical skills, and confidence that extends beyond the therapy room.

Sheila Rouzitalab, PsyD | Clinical Supervisor
Dr. Sheila Rouzitalab is a licensed psychologist who specializes in working with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, OCD, trauma-related concerns, mood disorders, body-focused repetitive behaviors, and tic disorders. She completed her doctoral training at Rutgers University and has extensive experience across hospital, academic, and private practice settings, including APA-accredited internship and postdoctoral fellowship training. Dr. Rouzitalab uses evidence-based, compassionate approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), with a strong emphasis on collaboration, cultural responsiveness, and individualized care. She is licensed in multiple states and is committed to creating a supportive, thoughtful therapeutic space where clients can build insight, resilience, and meaningful change.

Linda Yu, MA | Doctoral Trainee
Dr. Linda Yu is a fourth-year doctoral student in Clinical Psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology, Alliant International University. At Northstar Psychology Group, she provides psychological assessment services under the supervision of Dr. Sarah E. Jung.
She has previously trained at Alameda Health System – Highland Hospital and Eastmont Wellness Center, Through the Looking Glass, and Crisis Support Services of Alameda County. In these roles, Linda worked with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults with concerns such as ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, learning differences, mood and anxiety disorders, and trauma. These experiences have strengthened her ability to provide thorough and thoughtful evaluations that look at the full picture of each individual’s strengths and challenges.
